How do I subscribe?

Subscribing is quick and easy. For the latest subscriptions, offers and how to order your subscription simply visit the store on our website or contact our customer services team on 0203 963 4686. If an institutional subscription is more suitable please contact our team to discuss this at membership@timeshighereducation.com.

What does my subscription include?

Print and Digital subscriptions include the print editions of THE magazine delivered usually on a Thursday or Friday. As well as instant access to our digital editions each subscription provides agenda-setting news and analyses, commentary from the sharpest minds in international academia, our influential university rankings, or the latest insights from our World Summit Series. Everything we do is focused on helping you and your institution to excel.

Digital Only subscriptions include all the above excluding the print editions.

How do I access the digital editions of THE?

In order to get unrestricted access to all THE magazine content online, you are required to have a subscription with us. If you do not already subscribe, please go to the store to sign up.
If you are an existing subscriber, with an individual subscription, you can get access to the digital version of the magazine by logging in to your THE account here, where you can browse the most recent issue and all of our back issues.
If you are an existing subscriber, but do not have a THE account, please create an account, then visit your "My Products" page to link your subscriber number to your THE account (this only needs to be done once).

Can I share my Digital Subscription?

Individual subscriptions allow access for a single user. However, we offer subscription packages for institutions wishing to obtain wider access to our digital content. My THE magazine has not arrived, who do I contact?

If you have not received your copy of THE on the usual day then please contact us. We will do our best to get you another copy in the post as soon as possible. Please contact our customer services team at membership@timeshighereducation.com or call us on 0203 963 4686.

UK copies are delivered weekly on a Thursday or Friday. Please allow 5-7 working days for overseas delivery.

My THE has arrived damaged, who do I contact?

If your copy of THE has been delivered to you in an unsatisfactory state, then we sincerely apologise and will be happy to send you another copy. Please contact our customer services team at membership@timeshighereducation.com  or on 0203 963 4686.

How long will it take for my subscription to start?

Your first print magazine should arrive within 7-10 working days of your order being confirmed. If you’ve still not received your first issue after this time, please contact our customer services team at membership@timeshighereducation.com  or on 0203 963 4686.

Please note your access to our online content is instant. As soon as you have received your subscriber number you can access THE online.

What day should I expect to receive my copy?

Your copy should arrive every week on a Thursday or Friday.

Please allow 5-7 working days extra for overseas delivery.

How can I pay for my subscription?

You can pay for your subscription with a credit or debit card. To purchase a subscription online visit our store.

How do I renew my subscription?

Top

If you have chosen to pay by continuous debit or credit card then your subscription will automatically renew on a quarterly or annual basis, depending on the subscription you have chosen. For customers on other payment methods, when your subscription is due for renewal you will be sent a reminder letter from us with a renewal form for you to fill out and send back. You can also manage your subscription online.

Can I pay via BACS?

Can I be invoiced for my subscription?

This option is only available for universities and organisations. Please contact our customer services team at membership@timeshighereducation.com or on 0203 963 4686 to arrange an invoice.

If I am invoiced will payment need to be made before issues are received?

Yes. You will receive your first subscription copy as soon as payment has been received.

Can I order a bulk subscription for my organisation?

We offer universities and organisations site-wide access to THE with our THE Institutional Subscriptions. A THE institutional subscription ensures that all your staff and student body have access to the latest research, innovation and insight on the THE website. Plus, your organisation will receive print copies (UK only) of THE magazine delivered each week. For bulk print copy orders please contact our customer services team at membership@timeshighereducation.com or on 0203 963 4686.

How do I order back issues?

If you have failed to receive an issue that you were due through your subscription, then we will happily send you the missing copy free of charge. However, if you would like to receive any additional copies of backdated issues then this can be arranged at an additional cost of £5.00 per copy (only available for UK customers). How do I change the delivery address for my subscription?

To change the delivery address or any details for your subscription please contact our customer services team at membership@timeshighereducation.com 0203 963 4686. Alternatively, you can manage your account online by logging in to the THE website.

Where can I find my subscriber ID?

Top

You can find this on the outer wrapper of the printed copy of the magazine, just above the name and address.  It is Approximately 10 digits long, beginning with either A-S or the number 4.  It can also be found in email correspondence from us, confirming your subscription.

Alternatively, if you are still unsure, please email the customer services team on membership@timeshighereducation.com with details of your name and delivery address so that we can assist you with this.

Will you share my details with other companies?

When you subscribe to THE you will be given the option to opt in to receiving mail from selected companies or having your details passed on. THE does not share any information with other companies unless given permission by you.
