Editor’s note:

October 2021

After the publication of the World University Rankings 2022, three institutions informed us that they had submitted, and signed, off, incorrect data. These matters were reviewed under our corrections policy, and we agreed, at our discretion, to re-calculate those universities' scores based on a corrected data submission.

Jacobs University informed us that it had submitted, and signed off, incorrect numbers of doctorates awarded in social sciences and at the overall level in THE’s data portal. The university’s corrected position in the overall World University Rankings is 401-500.

The University of Stirling informed us that it had submitted, and signed off, incorrect numbers of doctorates awarded in THE’s data portal.  The university’s corrected position in the overall World University Rankings is 301-350.

Radboud University Nijmegen informed us that it had submitted, and signed off, incorrect international staff numbers in THE’s data portal. The university’s corrected position in the overall World University Rankings is 139.

After the publication of the World University Rankings 2022, a mapping issue was discovered, affecting Institut Polytechnique de Paris’s reputation scores. This matter was reviewed under our corrections policy, and we agreed to re-calculate Institut Polytechnique de Paris’ score based on corrected reputation data. The university’s corrected position in the overall World University Rankings is 91.

As per THE's rankings correction policy, the amendment made only affects the university in question. We do not rerun the complete ranking. All other universities maintain their original rank.

April 2023

An update to the statistical information for UK universities displayed in the table has been implemented.

The number of students has been amended to reflect the HESA Standard Rounding Methodology and is now rounded to the nearest five.

This is a display correction only and has no impact on the ranking calculation.
