THE Student, the dynamic new digital platform for those looking to study abroad, partners with careers matching service Morrisby

THE Student, the dynamic new digital platform for those looking to study abroad, has today announced a partnership with leading careers-matching service, Morrisby to support the millions of prospective international students visiting THE Student’s webpages every year when it comes to making evidence-based decisions to support their study and career choices.

Through advisory content and webinars hosted on THE Student (part of Times Higher Education) Morrisby will draw on decades of experience in helping young people select their future career to provide vital information and insights for students, providing access to unique datasets and tools to help navigate their way into international study and give them the best possible start to their post-study careers.

THE Student users opting in to receive additional support from Morrisby will also be able to access innovative assessment and psychometric technology to better understand their own abilities, ambitions, interests and personality.

The partnership marks an important strategic development for THE Student as it looks to move into advising prospective international students about their careers alongside providing information and advice on studying at university. This announcement follows a partnership with Common Purpose – a not-for-profit organisation providing training programmes for students to help gain the skills to thrive in their careers – in January 2021, with THE Student looking to work with trusted partners to enhance prospective student decision making.

Patrick Hayes, Chief Development Officer at Times Higher Education, with responsibility for THE Student said:

“Each year millions of prospective international students come to THE Student looking for definitive advice and guidance on studying abroad. The overwhelming majority tell us their primary reason for making such a major investment of time and resources is to enhance their future job prospects.

“Morrisby are leaders in providing engaging and reliable careers advice. Through our collaboration we can further enhance the ability of our prospective student audience to make study choices based on not just which university is best for them academically, but also for their future careers. We look forward greatly to working with the Morrisby team to deliver on our vision of providing unparalleled support across the study abroad journey.”

Malcolm Morrisby, Managing Director of Morrisby Ltd., commented:

“For many years Morrisby has applauded the achievements of THE in promoting the highest standards in university education worldwide. We are delighted to now be part of that story.”

The partnership announcement coincides with the final day of THE Student’s first ever ‘Careers Week’, a week of events programming focused on careers and employability.  During Careers Week students from around the world get practical tips on building resumes and preparing for interviews alongside discussions with employers and career coaches on how to develop the softer skills that will set them apart as a job candidate.
